| Happy Camping Season Last weekend was our first weekend, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate well. We had a few die hard campers! Well we are happy to report Time Warner Cable is finishing up wiring for the cable and Internet services!!! May 11th- The mothers day breakfast was a hit as always. Congrads to Cindy who won the mothers day gift, a bath set. Mothers enjoyed some quiet time set aside to scrapbook! Later Saturday evening, many enjoyed Alvin and the Chipmonks, our first big screen movie! We are gearing up for our first big weekend, Memorial day with a carnival, band, duck races, and another movie, just to name a few things. As always you are able to find many updates with the campgrounds, including updates to the playground equipment! May 26- What a beautiful weekend, we could not ask for a nicer weekend. We started Saturday with a Kids Carnival with games, prizes, snow cones and a clown. All had a great time! Most popular was the free putt-putt tickets! We enjoyed a nice evening with BackRoads Band, many enjoyed listening the music and some danced. BackRoads are invited back July 4th Weekend!! Shriek and Fiona came to visit the Memorial Day Parade. Congrads to Randy and Steve Roberts for winning first place, John Wiley and Josh Bryan for second place the Horseshoe Tournament. The duck races were a big hit as always, the change in breeze had everyone wondering what duck would come to the side of pond first. We enjoyed the Bee Movie, our first outdoor movie was enjoyable for all ages. Many fished and a few brave souls went swimming!! I was trying the pool as I heard it was a bit cold! Don't forget to get you tickets for Chicken BBQ next weekend June 1st The BBQ Chicken was as good as usual. The wind made was so strong it blew our self made kites apart, so everyone was a winner for the Kite Contest. Some braved the pool but it was too chilly for me...looking forward to warmer weather. June 8th Well got my wish, much warmer, the pool felt great...it was a busy place. Our Fear Factor weekend started with mother natures challenge Friday night with strong storms! Then on Saturday, we had eight guys brave the Fear Factor Challenge, with Terry Childs taking the title eating a large portion of Cow Tongue. Everyone seemed to enjoy the live entertainment. At nightfall, we enjoyed a not so yummy movie, "How to Eat Fried Worms." Yuck!!! The kids enjoyed the movie! Make sure you get your raffle tickets for next weekend Father's Day drawing. |
